All systems have returned to and remained nominal during our monitoring phase after BigCommerce engineers reverted all systems to normal configuration following the identification of the networking problem.

Monitoring
BigCommerce engineers have reverted the changes made in the slow-down mitigation process. We currently expect all stores to be functioning nominally.

Identified
SoftLayer engineers identified a problem with networking hardware with the help of BigCommerce engineering troubleshooting. The networking hardware was modified and we are seeing a return to normal networking levels. BigCommerce engineers are currently reverting several changes made in the mitigation process to return everything to fully functional levels. We will post an update when we expect all stores to be nominal.

BigCommerce engineers continue to work with SoftLayer engineers to investigate possible mitigations to the ongoing network problems. We have improved performance for some stores, but are experiencing degraded performance for others. We are pursuing options to improve performance for remaining stores. We will continue to give updates as we have them.

Update
BigCommerce engineers continue to work with SoftLayer engineers to investigate possible mitigations to the ongoing network problems we're experiencing. We did not pursue the action that would cause further degredation, and are pursuing other less-impactful solutions. We will continue to give updates as we have them.

Update
BigCommerce engineers are now working with SoftLayer engineers to investigate possible mitigations to the ongoing network problems we're experiencing. There is a strong possibility we will see degredation of service for several minutes starting around 2:30pm Central Time. We will give updates as we have them.

Investigating
BigCommerce engineers are investigating a increase in store response times for some stores beginning around 8pm Central Time Friday evening. We are in contact with the data center engineers and will update with findings shortly.
