Engineers have identified an issue with the PayPal Powered by Braintree integration on a subset of stores that is causing some PayPal transactions to fail. While the engineering team works to resolve the issue, merchants can enable Advanced Fraud Tools within your Braintree account, under Settings -> Processing, to resolve any problems in the short term
